Sex in the Sticks is the first book in the Love Hurts series and can be read as a standalone novel.

Valentine is a dating blogger in New York City who starts to believe that things are going stale for her and that she is going to have to stop blogging. After talking with her cousin about a great town in Alaska she decides to hop on a plane and head north to see if she can spark some new inspiration for her blog.

Logan is the sheriff in a little town off the beaten path in northern Alaska. Logan thought his life was going great until a city girl with no idea what she is getting into shows up turning everyone's heads.

This book made me laugh through the whole book. I loved the chemistry between Logan and Valentine.
