Hildafolk by Luke Pearson

Hildafolk (Hildafolk, #1)

by Luke Pearson

Hilda can never sit still for long without setting off on another adventure. She can't resist exploring her enchanting worlda place where trolls walk, crows speak, and mountains move.

Hilda is sitting in her tent at night listening to the rumble of the storm passing overhead when she hears a bell. She had left that very same bell tied to a rock, that she very well knew was anything but that, days before in the hope that she might catch a glimpse of that most elusive of woodland creatures, the troll. As she hurtles towards the vanishing sound of tinkling bells, Hilda unwittingly embarks on an adventure into strange worlds ruled by magical forces.

Really beautiful graphic novel. Loved the quirky main character, the colors used and the world created here. Cannot wait to read more and check out the Netflix show. Definitely recommend this one to younger readers and older readers who love good artwork and a little bit of whimsy :)

(Also where can I get a friend/pet like twig? So cute!!!)
