The last issue wrapped up the major plot that the Avengers had been dealing with, leaving this one as more of a necessary cleanup and setup issue. On the bright side it’s full of funny moments, character interactions, important clarifications, and a makeup amongst friends.
I’m not going to lie – this issue had me laughing out loud at more than one point. Especially the bit with Thor. I can totally see him acting that way, and I can also see how he’d manage to get himself in that…situation. I’m trying to be vague because I don’t want to spoil anything (even if it is obvious).
I know one of the scenes has been heavily talked about, and thus probably spoiled. But still, I’m very happy with the new choice of the Avengers team lead. To be honest I had completely forgotten about the fact that they hadn’t yet picked one – they had worked so well without anybody actually giving orders. Still, somebody needs to be in charge, right?
