This book highlighted why I am not particularly fond of one couple's story being dragged out over several books. When I started this book, I was completely and utterly confused because I had ZERO recollection of what happened in the previous book. It would have been helpful if there had been a summary chapter at the start. The other issue I had (and it is the same issue I had with book two), is it again felt like it was filled with a bunch of filler. Nothing of interest happened for most of this book. 40% in and was struggling to stay interested in the story. I think that instead of spreading out this story over three books the author could have tightened up the plot A LOT and made it at the very most a duet. Last, I HATED the ending. It dropped the book from 3-Stars to 2. I mean COME ON...three books and all the shit these two went through, and you have Caleb (show spoiler)[ go to jail for eighteen months. Thus missing the birth and an entire year of his twins life??!!] What kind of f-cked up ending it that!? Ugh...ya, what can I say. This book just didn't work for me. On the plus side, I do think this author is a talented writer so I'll keep my eyes peeled to see what she has up her sleeve in the future.
