This book highlighted why I am not particularly fond of one couple's story being dragged out over several books. When I started this book, I was completely and utterly confused because I had ZERO recollection of what happened in the previous book. It would have been helpful if there had been a summary chapter at the start. The other issue I had (and it is the same issue I had with book two), is it again felt like it was filled with a bunch of filler. Nothing of interest happened for most of this book. 40% in and was struggling to stay interested in the story. I think that instead of spreading out this story over three books the author could have tightened up the plot A LOT and made it at the very most a duet. Last, I HATED the ending. It dropped the book from 3-Stars to 2. I mean COME ON...three books and all the shit these two went through, and you have Caleb go to jail for eighteen months. Thus missing the birth and an entire year of his twins life??!! What kind of f-cked up ending it that!? Ugh...ya, what can I say. This book just didn't work for me. On the plus side, I do think this author is a talented writer so I'll keep my eyes peeled to see what she has up her sleeve in the future.
