Sooo, I definitely didn't realize this was the second book in the series, but I think I managed to get by without reading the first one. I admit that this was my first read with a political figure; the president to be exact, which made it a little tougher for me to get into. I wasn't sure if I could see the appeal in a president romance.

Being a single president to take office was a unique aspect already, but appointing Charlotte as the first lady that was something else entirely. From the beginning, we see that it has been some time since they've seen each other. The tension between the two is already building so much that they were bound to explode once they finally saw each other. And that they did!

Once he takes office, besides running the country he wants nothing more than to claim Charlotte once and for all. She is his end game and will do anything to get her there.

Matthew Hamilton is quite the man to swoon over, but I can't say this has completely turned me onto political romance novels. Evans did a wonderful job captivating her readers and twining these two so effortlessly. Matt and Charlotte complemented each other so well, it'll definitely make you wish for someone like these two in the real world.

I definitely recommend this book, plenty of love to go around and some mile high club action *wink wink*.
