Cain McClellan is a mercenary and when he meets a yarn-shop owner, Linette Collins, slowly recovering from her husband's death, the two of them find each other attracted. But can they compromise on their lives to come together as a couple.
Tim Mallory is a fellow mercenary, injured and it looks like he will be spending the rest of his life in a wheelchair. Having chased away almost every other physical therapist Cain finds Francine. They're also attracted.
Now while both women end up happy, for the moment, they are both taken away from what is familiar and their careers to be housewives and mothers and I'm not sure that that's always a good way to base a long-lasting relationship. Some of the issues about this are touched on near the end but still neither of them ever express any doubts.
It's readable and flows well but I have to occasionally ask a few questions about the realism (yeah, yeah I know, realism in romance)
