Eh, it was ok. Honestly, I feel kind of icky now that I’ve finished it.

The FMC’s name is Christmas (Chrissy). Because she was born on Christmas Eve. Her brother is Forth. Because he was born on the Fourth of July. Seriously, I can’t make this shit up. Really, REALLY cheesy.

I feel like MMC, Wyatt, threw up red flag after red flag. I just didn't like him. He was too protective & alpha. In a creepy way. Maybe it’s because this is a novella & there wasn’t time to develop the characters as much. Or maybe it’s because there was minimal back story. I don’t know. The romance just felt…ill-timed & wrong. Very rushed, forced & love bomb-ey. Chrissy was being stalked for god’s sake! And Wyatt was all like “I’ll protect you! Oh, and by the way, I love you & have loved you since we were kids.”. And although she’s supposed to be terrified of her stalker, Chrissy is all like “Huh, I guess I’ve loved you since we were kids too! I just didn’t know it.”. blerg.

The suspense part was pretty predictable. Nothing shocked me in the least. The steamy parts were cringy. Yeah…nope. This one just didn’t do it for me. Felt like a bad Lifetime movie.

I almost DNF’d this, but I’m not a quitter. I powered through. And now I kind of want my 3 hours back.
