Tabloid reporter Sierra McIntyre wants a scoop when she interviews Ghost Hunter Guild boss John Fontana about the disappearances of retired, homeless hunters. She doesn’t want to trust the physically and psychically powerful man, but her intuition—and her dust bunny companion—give her the green light. To uncover the conspiracy within his own organization, Fontana proposes…marriage. And though it’s purely a business arrangement, there’s nothing pure about the attraction that sizzles between them.
I stand back from this series and my brain starts picking holes in it, but as I read them I really do enjoy the read, Jayne Ann Krentz/Jayne Castle just writes in such a way as to keep my willing sense of disbelief going. I find the stories a huge amount of fun and really do enjoy them, though I do need a break between cause otherwise they start blurring into each other.
Sierra McIntyre left her wealthy family to try to find a role for herself in her world. With her intuition she is finding a role for herself working for a tabloid newspaper. She gets a chance to interview the mysterious Hunter Guild boss John Fontana, trying to find out if he's behind the disappearances of retired, homeless hunters.
The two of them find that actually they're very attracted and John proposes marriage, to help her investigate and get to the bottom of the rot that's within the Hunter Guild.
As I write that, I'm shaking my head, yeah it's contrived, yeah the logic is lacking, but it was a fun read!
