It’s kind of hard to believe that there’s only one issue left for this miniseries. I say that because I sincerely have no clue how they’re going to wrap it all up in the next issue. At least that means that I’m curious about the next issue!
I’ll admit that I was a little confused at the beginning of this issue – though I think that had more to do with me forgetting a couple bits of information than the writing itself. Once I sorted out/reminded myself of a few pertinent facts things started making so much more sense, and I actually got pretty into it.
I’m a bit of a time travel snob (thanks Futurama), but this has been an interesting interpretation for it. The combination of travel and Multiple Man’s abilities have done a great job of making the series unpredictable.
I was happy to see them wrapping up a few loose ends from the first issue. You can tell they’re getting set up for the big finale, but more than that I’m just glad to be getting answers for how everything fit together.
The artwork was decent on the whole. The opening scene was rough (emotionally) as it was clearly intended to be. Meanwhile I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to have multiple versions of the same character, but all distinct in their own way. The ones with different powers (and thus appearances) would be easier, but there are plenty of the ‘basic’ ones as well, but on the whole we could tell them apart (with a few oblivious, and I believe intentional, exceptions).
