At first, I was really interested in the storyline, and felt like the book (and series) had potential. But the more I got into Adam and Megan's relationship, the more forced the book felt. I really think that the author could have done a lot more with the history of the Marked/Order and the history of Ireland as a result, and she missed that opportunity to focus on a cheesy love story. It wasn't believable in the least, and I probably won't read the second in the series.
