It's in His Kiss (Lucky Harbor, #10)

by Jill Shalvis

Fans of Susan Andersen, Bella Andre, Rachel Gibson, Carly Phillips, and Susan Mallery will fall head over heels for New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis' Lucky Harbor series. This is the tenth enthralling novel, laced with Jill's trademark gift for humour, warmth and romance.

Becca Thorpe has uprooted her life and escaped to the beach. Now's her chance to get away from city living, throw caution to the ocean winds, and live in the moment. Especially if the moment includes the deliciously sexy surfer she meets shortly after arriving in Lucky Harbor. Something about the dark intensity of Sam's eyes and the thrill she gets at his touch convinces her to stay awhile.

Boatbuilder and investment genius Sam Brody is a selfmade man who knows how dangerous it can be to mix business and pleasure. But he can't resist offering Becca a job just to hear her laugh and have her near. Yet when her brother comes to town asking for help, will he tempt her back to her glamorous life in the city? Or do Sam and little Lucky Harbor have a chance to win Becca's heart?

The Lucky Harbour gang make me smile...

I had this book sitting on my kindle for a couple of days before I started it. Stupidly I thought I wasn't in the mood for a sweet love story. Maybe I have read too many douchebag, alpha heroes lately to appreciate a love story with a hero who was nice, thoughtful and just a little bit sweet...although dumb when it comes to love, but we all know men stuff up before they get it right.

Jill Shalvis has always been an autobuy author for me because she produces REAL books with emotions that are believable. Her books always leave me with a big smile on my face and this one especially did not fail. The sneak peak of the next book had me cracking up and I have already pre-ordered it.

I loved both the main characters and felt that the chemistry between them was hot but not OTT. Sam tried to stay professional being her boss but his feelings kept getting in the way. There were ups and downs and not all hearts and flowers, but this is what makes Jill Shalvis's books believable.

Considering this is #10 in the series I expected my interest to dwindle, but I am happy to say that Lucille still makes me laugh, Lance still breaks my heart and all the sexy men in this town still make me swoon.

Jill Shalvis keep being the legend storyteller that you are and I will definitely stay a huge fan of yours.
