I was really interested in the premise of this book, but I found a lot of the actual story and characters became underwhelming. Celia, the youngest triplet, has a gift for viewing the past. Lo, is a mermaid-like creature who is slowly forgetting her human self. When Celia and Lo meet after rescuing Jude from the water, Celia is able to help Lo remember who she used to be before she joined her "sisters" beneath the water. The Celia-Jude-Lo love story was trite, and I expected more from Pearce at this point after Sweetly

I found the Fenris connection, which is probably going to appear in the last book as well, really confusing. I felt like the bigger picture that connects the series wasn't really explored as it should have been in this installment. And for that I had to rate this two stars.
