We read this in our [b:The 20th-Century Children's Book Treasury: Picture Books and Stories to Read Aloud|238068|The 20th Century Children's Book Treasury Celebrated Picture Books and Stories to Read Aloud|Janet Schulman|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1411333628l/238068._SX50_.jpg|230604] and this is one that did not translate well to a compact version in the way they did it with three original pages per page. One the illustrations are small and two it makes it too much; too much color and too much distraction for a little person to take in while reading about the train cars and colors.

What I do see about the illustrations is that they are great and vibrant. A fun story to work on colors. I absolutely love the blur when the train picks up speed. I think this would be worth looking for to add to our shelves on it's own.
