This is my second time reading this author’s work and, although I did not enjoy the story as I was hoping to, I will not give up on her.

I Do is a novella which tells the story of Becca Ramsey and Nathan Parrish. Becca is a hair stylist and Nathan is a mechanic who specializes in the restoration of vintage cars. Their initial meeting got off to a rocky start; however the verbal sparring as a result was funny and entertaining. The attraction between them is evident; however, there is one major problem, Nathan is already in a relationship. What will Nathan do? Will he explore his attraction to Becca or will he call it a day?

My biggest peeve with this story is that enough focus was not given to the development of Becca’s and Nathan’s relationship. The majority of the story is centered on the supporting characters and not enough on the main cast. In my opinion this made their romance feel rushed as if the author was more interested in bringing the story to an end rather than engaging her readers. I found it difficult to connect with the characters as a result. It basically left me wanting more.

Overall, this was an ok read. If you are looking for a short but sweet read, then you will find it in I Do!

I received an ARC from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
