I went into this duet hoping this would be different from the author’s other books. Unfortunately, it was the same. I like an asshole hero if there is a redeeming quality hidden somewhere. But what I can’t stand is being an asshole, knowing it and shoving it into the face of the heroine. What’s worse, this supposedly tough girl takes all of this over and over again from someone she’s claims she hates. And quite frankly, theses two books spent way too much time in the past to really believe these two could that quickly make their future work.
