"In the moment I faced dying, I finally knew my reason for living." (Cole Stockton)

Neverfall is a novella that takes place after Everneath and is told from Cole's PoV.

Cole is one of my favourite characters in the Everneath series because he's a mysterious bad boy, a complex character and morally gray. While reading the Everneath series, the one thing that I appreciated was Cole's mystery persona. It makes his motives questionable and his actions unpredictable. Neverfall tries to 'shed light' on what exactly goes on in Cole's head and while I understand his character a little more, the mystery that made him such an awesome character in the Everneath series has disappeared.

🎸 Cole's PoV is hilarious and so 21st century. Isn't he supposed to be 900 years old or something?
🎸 I live for the bromance between Cole and Max
🎸 I'm a sucker for Greek mythology
🎸 The whole Delphinian aspect is creative and cool.
🎸 I can understand Cole being obsessed with Nikki, but I can't understand any of his emotions that go beyond that.

I'm glad that I read Neverfall after completing the Everneath series because I was genuinely surprised by Cole's actions in Everbound and Evertrue.

And now, for some funny chapter headings...
"Football camp begins for the epic lover."

"London: City of Love. No, wait... that's Paris. London is the City of Pain."

"I should've stayed home."
