I just finished listening to the Audiobook of Hot to The Touch by Jaci Burton. It’s been a long time since I last read books by the author, and since is the first in a new series I decided to give it a try.
It’s definitely a Hot romance. Jackson is a sexy, well respected firefighter and when he rescues a women in a fire, he discovers she’s someone he knew from his childhood. A time in his life that he doesn’t like to remember, so he prefers to keep the past buried.
Beck is a tattoo artist and loses her shop to a fire and thanks to Jackson and his brothers, they let her stay with them while she can pick back her life. They’re childhood friends and have a special relationship even though it’s been years since they’ve seen each other. They were all very close. Topics discussed in the story are about the homeless and the Foster care system.
The guys, their family and Beck are fun, generous and have big hearts, and I loved their interaction and banter.
Jackson and Beck have great chemistry, but for Jackson it’s going to take some time for him to heal some old wounds.
