My heart breaks at the thought that this is the last issue for the West Coast Avengers. This series quickly became one of my favorites - and only partially because it brought back one of my favorite characters. It was so full of charm and personality, as well as a healthy dose of oddball characters. I loved it and everything about it.
As far as final issues go, this one wasn't bad. It fully wrapped up the current arc we'd been dealing with, which is fantastic. Nothing worse than a cliffhanger for a final issue.
It also had all the quirky moments I've come to love about the series, and really gave us a chance to say goodbye to everyone. I wish we didn't have to, but it was nice to be given the opportunity. Quentin changed his shirt, of course. And we were given an update on that hilarious relationship, which was appreciated. Lots of other updates, comments and inside jokes were thrown around, but it was all needed, in its own way.
I'm sad to see this series go. But my new favorite ship will always live on in my heart. Quinpool for life! (or is it Gwentin?)
