Saving Hamlet

I adore anything Shakespeare so when I came across this book, I knew I needed to read it! Plus, it deals with time travel! Shakespeare and time travel: two of my favorite things!

Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. Saving Hamlet was adorable, and a perfect summer read. It just didn't have the depth I was looking for. The time travel aspect was never explained and the protagonist just goes along with it. Instead of questioning the mechanics of the trap door that leads to Shakespeare's Globe, she decides to fall into character and become the stage manager for both her persent-day Hamlet production and Shakespeare's Hamlet. While fun, I was hoping for a little more.
