Sometimes I wish Amazon had a purge option, where I could pick a year and just wipe all the Kindle ebooks I downloaded because they were free. It would save me from deciding to travel back in time to pick up something I KNOW isn't going to hold up.

This was honestly a bit of a mess. It being a novella did it no favors, as the pacing is incredibly fast especially considering how at odds Point A (the way things kick-off) is to Point B (where the MC is emotionally in the end) in this. The way in which this romance(?) kicks off is full of "consent" from a drunk girl, a declaration of claim, and then basically full-on vampiric assault. It's messy, and honestly, there is no good way to come back from that in terms of that particular pairing.

On top of that, the plot is rushed, and we are given a larger plot in the last 10% which just isn't enough time. Much of the writing is very flat in areas and in others extraordinarily rushed, both in terms of hwo things are expressed but also from a character standpoint as well. The character development comes down to flashbacks and 'destiny'.

Overall just not for me in the end.
