Seven Weeks To Forever was not what I expected. I don’t know why I thought that it wasn’t going to be that great when I started. I enjoyed it more than I thought I was going to. This story is about life and the second chances that are rarely given to us.
I instantly fell in love with Riley’s and Cassidy’s witty banter and serious conversations. Everything was beautiful and easy to understand—it was a light read that I enjoyed a lot. I am a Christian (Seventh-Day Adventist to be exact) so I don’t believe in The Life-After. I do believe that God will come for us one day and every eye on this planet will see Him but I don’t believe that once we die, our spirit lingers in The Life-After. With this thought in mind, I still enjoyed the book because it wasn’t something that was forced upon the reader to believe in.
I was so frustrated with Cassidy’s aunt that I was about to dive into the book and hit her but then she did a 180º and explained her reasons and I guess they are understandable so I forgave her. I wish Cassidy and her aunt had gotten more time together with this new-found relationship but I didn’t get it and I was very sad about it.
I guess I was expecting the ending because I wasn’t really surprised but it made me cry happy tears a little and I felt so happy, I wanted to jump up and down.
