This was a cute Regency romance. Lazarus and Olivia's romance really wasn't supposed to happen. He was using her to find her sister and she was using him to find her brother. So when they fell in love, it was a surprise.

I did think that Olivia's back story was awful. She was a battlefield nurse and suffered from PTSD because of what she saw/heard on the battlefield. The author did a great job of accurately describing Olivia's triggers (thunder)and the affect her PTSD had on her.

Lazarus's (aka Will) back story was just as heartbreaking. He was severely abused by his mother's 2nd husband and the author, again, did a great job of how it affected him as an adult.
