This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free for a Blog Tour in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Thank you to Faye for letting me taker part in this blog tour. When I saw Faye advertising this book on twitter I knew it was my kind of book.

There was all the usual hall-markings of a vampire book. The blood, a fresh vamp, love and probably the most common of all the sexual desires. Some might say this is over done but Chele's writing style hooks you in and gives you something new.

Thomas is a freshly turned vampire. His senses are in overdrive and he's not quite sure what is happening to him. This book begins with Thomas' story and how he is coping with being turned. The hunger, the smells, the noise, the whole experience.

As the book progresses the story focuses more on Spencer. He discovers something big and we see how he copes with this big change in his life.

I really liked August and William. I liked seeing how their interactions changed and grew.

I immediately guessed the role that Kaleb would play but I look forward to seeing how it will play out in the next book.

I loved the last line of this book. It really made me laugh.

This was a fun, quick read, and a good start to what I think will be a great series.
