I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Prism Book Tours. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Catching Mr. Right by Carol Ross is about finding love and catching fish.

Will Victoria keep her past where it belongs while also landing her dream job? And maybe her dream man?

Victoria Thibodeaux

Victoria Thibodeaux is a young single mother who is great at fishing and taking care of her family's little resort that has been apart of the family for generations. Her grandmother and mother raised her; they help her raise her eleven-year-old daughter Scarlett. They also happen to live in Louisiana, right near a bayou. Plenty of fishing opportunities that way. I loved Victoria as a person and outright didn't like her ex-husband when he pops in.

Scarlett's life reminds me of my own being raised by my mom on her own and having some opportunities not happen because of certain reasons. Another thing that reminds me of my own life is Victoria's grandmother Effie reminds me of my great-grandmother, who also lived in Louisiana in her youth. The Thibodeaux family holds a piece of my heart as it felt like coming home when I was reading about Victoria's relationship with her mom and grandma and, of course, with her own daughter Scarlett.

Seth James

Seth James is a fisherman from Alaska who is after the same job opportunity as Victoria. I liked how he is nice to everyone and could even get Ms. Effie to like him. Seeing how well he liked his family shown even without reading the other six books before this one. Seth is a warm, friendly person who loves to fish, knows what he wants, and knows when he has met someone that deserves something more than him. He is a fantastic person, and I liked reading when Ms. Ross shifted to his point of view. It truly shows how much Seth loves Scarlett in this book from the many things he does for her or what he wants to do.

Seth is so caring with Scarlett and even her best friend, Quinn. He doesn't hesitate to do something for those Thibodeaux women when they need some help.

Five Stars

Catching Mr. Right by Carol Ross is another outstanding job by this wonderful author. Making me fall in love with her characters and being reminded of family that I miss. Ms. Ross has a way with her words that have literally made me laugh out loud at some of the sayings she has said in here reminding me of my own childhood, to crying for the characters, whether it be sad tears or happy tears, to rooting for them and wanting something good to happen to them. When a book does this for me, it's a no-brainer that I am giving it five stars and a huge recommendation to everyone, even if you don't like fishing.
