There was more to Collins than I expected. I knew he loved his brothers and would do whatever he could for them, but we discover Collins is a protector and a bit of a fixer. But he doesn't take the time to look at his own life and see that what's happening with him. It takes the appearance of his teenage best friend, Mia, to throw everything upside down.
Mia finds herself in a bit of a jam when she decides to spend money she doesn't have to fly across the country and look up her old best friend. She figured asking him to keep his promise to marry her when she turned thirty would help solve her problems. Instead, she discovers just how much he missed her best friend and how she wants to much more from him than a "friendly" wedding.
I enjoyed Collins and Mia together. Pretty much for the moment they see each other again, they pick up where they left off. Despite a fifteen year separation, they knew each other so well it shocks both of them a bit (the fact that Mia knew Collins was dying for beef when Tatiana didn't made that very obvious). But it also proved just how perfect they were for each.
A great ending to an absolutely fabulous series. Thank you Kendall Ryan for giving us these filthy mouthed alpha males. They were a pleasure to follow and I'll miss them.
