Hard Body Rock was fun, but also kind of awkward. When it starts, Drezen, the lead singer of his band has just kicked out their drunken guitarist in the middle of a tour. Now, the band has just a couple of hours to find someone, and two days before they're back on stage. Enter, Lola. Her brother is a lead guitarist for another band on the tour, and he told her about the audition. She doesn't think she'll get it, but she does! But nerves are getting the better of her during rehearsals, as does her immediate attraction to Drez.

I liked Hard Body Rock. I like the characters, and think Lola is super adorable. But this developing romance is super awkward. Not awkward in a cute way either. It's like it's meant to be super tense, but at times it's just cringe worthy or made me go "huh?" Like when Lola says Drez is filling her with some unknown feeling. Um, that would be lust! What 19 year old doesn't know what lust is?! And I don't even know what's going on with Drez, but he feels the need to push her away, because...I don't know. This was a weird one. I liked it, but it was just odd at times. Almost as if the author was going for sexy, but just failed miserably. Actual awkwardness would have worked much better and suited Lola's character.
