This is the first book in The Sons of Dusty Walker series and each of the four books in this series is written by a different author. This story centers on Dylan the youngest of Dusty’s sons. Dylan is surprised and hurt when he discovers there are many things his father kept hidden from him and he doesn’t understand why he never was told he had three half brothers.  Dylan’s whole world is turned upside down with the news and it takes him a while to adjust.  As he spends a week in his father’s small town, he starts to reevaluate his attitude about his father and his own life.  While Dylan is staying at father’s house to meet the requirements of the will, he runs into Zoe, a girl he knew four years ago.  Dylan can’t believe his good luck at seeing Zoe again.  He has thought of her often in the last few years and is glad to have a chance to spend time with her.  Zoe is surprised to see Dylan and nervous because she has secrets she hasn’t shared with him.  Zoe loves spending time with Dylan, but she also worries he will break her heart if she lets down her guard.  She has been hurt before and is afraid to trust anyone.  Dylan and Zoe have a deep connection and they find it impossible to resist each other.  They have an explosive chemistry and things get steamy whenever they are together.  Dylan stole my heart with the way he treats Zoe. He isn’t afraid to show her he cares about her and is thoughtful and romantic.  This is an engaging story about a second chance at love and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this seriesThis book was reviewed by a member of the review staff at Cocktails and Books.
