The story picks up three months after Bleu had fled Scotland. She misses Sin, but she knows being separated from him is the best thing for both of them. But when he suddenly appears with an offer very hard to refuse. And when Bleu finds herself back in Scotland, she hopes this next chapter of her life is happier than the last. Unfortunately, life within the Fellowship has a way of making sure that doesn't happen...for either Sin or Bleu.
You have to appreciate a man who is willing to go against everything he has been taught and expected to follow for the love of a woman. I loved Sin before, but once he got Bleu back in his arms he went to great lengths to prove to her, his family and those he is intended to one day lead that she is the woman that will stand by his side and lead with him. Hard not to love him more.
Bleu softened quite a bit in this book. Gone is the woman so set on revenge that she closes herself off to everyone. She embraces Sin and his parents, in addition to the few friends she's made within the Fellowship, grounding herself for the first time. It makes her a more likable Bleu. One you could connect with and one you really want to finally get the redemption she's been looking for with her mother's killer.
The storyline is a bit of a roller coaster ride, because you know the evil Uncle Abrams is just waiting in the wings to do something. He gets a few digs in here and there, but you know there is more and the anticipation had me a bit jumpy right up until the last page.
I can't wait for the final book to come out in March. I need Bleu and Sin to get their HEA and right now all that seems up in the air. But don't let that stop you from picking this series up. It's wonderfully crafted and the characters stick with you.
