Ray and his alien pals Zip, Zat, and Zing are on a fantastic speed chase to the finish line. This story is told with a focus on rhyming word families.
This actually held up really, really well! At first I had to get used to the more simple writing style (I don't read much Middle Grade these days) but once I got into it I flew through it in about an hour. They stayed really true to this book in the first episode of the Netflix show. I forgot how funny these books could be (like with Andrew's constant "Yups" or Boo Boo the cursed cat). I also love that it didn't feel like I was reading a book written in the 80s and it could easily be set in modern day.
