Brett Bad has watched his 3 brothers fall madly in love and now instead of being his wing-man the can't wait to get home to their girls. Brett isn't looking for his girl. He's just looking for a girl. The problem is the only one that's piqued his interest in months is the feisty Sophie who works at his brother, Micks law firm. Sophie though has turned down every one of his advances. From the outside it may seem like Brett Bad is loving life but, inside he's hurting. He's still angry about the loss of his sister and his anger is stopping him from moving on in life. I think that Brett might be my favourite Bad brother. He's not quite what he seems and when you get to know the real Brett you see that he's something special.
Sophie has been fantasising about Brett for months but she doesn't want to be just another girl to him. She wants the works. The white picket fence, the husband, the children, the forever kisses. Sophie is wired for one night stands. She's worried that if she lets Brett in she's going to have her heart broken into pieces. Sophie is sassy as hell but under that good girl exterior is a naughty girl that is just waiting for Brett to bring her out to play.
Sophie's family were brilliant. Some of them could learn a boundary or two but I loved them all the same. I also really liked Grace. I literally cannot wait for her book which is out very shortly. I hope that Sophie and Brett feature in this too.
There were many scenes in this book about Loreli Bad. I cried in just about every one of them. That little girl stole my heart a long time ago and I can only imagine the pain of the whole Bad family. They have come on leaps and bounds throughout this series and it was really nice to see them all starting to come together again as a family.
I will miss the Bad brothers but I'm sure that they will pop up again in a series of Melissa's even if it is a little mention.
