Big Shot

by Katy Evans

"I need you back. Now."
- William Walker
"I can't believe I'm letting my ex-boss talk me into working for him again. He's arrogant. Domineering. He gets under my skin in ways I don't want to admit. When I quit, it felt great! But now, seeing the big, bad billionaire rendered helpless by a baby, I give in to his demand. And I'm worried it won't be the last time..." - India Crowley

As far as Katy Evans books go, this wasn't exactly my favorite, but I did enjoy this story. With Big Shot being my second read from Harlequin's Desire, I knew going in that this would be on the shorter side. And I think this book needed to be fleshed out a bit more especially with William's character development.

I tend to enjoy a solid enemies-to-lovers, office romance. The hating between these two go deep and I just wanted to know why William is the way he is. A ruthless businessman AND a doting uncle. Adding in the baby factor was absolutely everything, plus we got to see the little glimpse into the relationship with his brother. It just showed another side to William, that he loves his family more than anything .

Throughout the book we see William and India learn about each other, all while slowly forming something else between them. The tension is off the shorts and having to be in such a small space for a couple of weeks, who knows how long they'll be able to resist each other.

I loved seeing William's niece soften him up a bit and that helped India fall for him a little bit more. India uncovered another side to William and she was loving it. I enjoyed watching her feelings slowly change for this alpha man.

Readers who are looking for a steamy enemies to lovers in an office setting, will definitely want to pick this up!
