Braving the Wilderness takes on the subject of belonging. I typically wouldn't have picked up a book that to me, falls into the self-help category but I decided to give it a try as I work my way through Reese Witherspoon's Book Club Selections.

I really had to slog my way through the book as it comes across like a dissertation. It was wordy, and I really could have used a thesaurus for some of it.

Overall, it was an interesting subject but, it was also a bit dry and I was glad Braving the Wilderness was a short novel.
