Waiting on April is the third book in the Collar and Cuffs series by Bella Settarra. While this book is part of a series, you can read this book as a standalone novel with ease.

April Myers is a waitress at the local and exclusive BDSM club Collar and Cuffs. She enjoys some of the perks of working at the club and has Dom that she plays with pretty much exclusively with. April’s biggest issue is that she has trust issues a mile long and no real incentive to try to overcome them until Steve barrels into her life outside the club.

Steve Ratner is a Detective with the local police department and a Dom and Collar and Cuffs. He is head over heels in love with the sub he plays with that works at the club, April.

The connection between Steve and April is intense however; I do wonder why it took him so long to approach April. While I get that he might have wanted to let her get over her past relationship It still seemed like a long wait. I loved how both Steve and April were when they were together. They fit together better than some couples who have been together for years. The sex scenes were sizzling.

I found this book well written with a believable plot. I enjoyed how the author incorporated romance and suspense in a realistic way. The main characters and the secondary characters were hypnotic. I loved how this book had twists and turns that kept you wondering what’s going to happen next. I had a hard time putting this book down. Overall, this was a very enchanting book. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
