I love how Exorsisters is one of those series that can be easily underestimated. At a quick glance it looks sort of goofy and casual, but the deeper you dive the more you realize that there’s so much more going on than meets the eye.
At the end of the last issue they hinted (well, flat out told us) that the girls aren’t really twins…or even sisters. This issue continued on that theme, but they took a while to get there. The buildup was worth it though. I’ll admit I was a bit shocked by how horrified I felt. The implications of it…not to mention the person that would be willing to do that to anybody else…if you could see me now you’d know I just shivered.
But don’t worry; there are plenty of humorous points as well. Granted, most of those are at the beginning of the issue, but that’s okay. I’ll admit that I did like the explanation for what the girls really are, as well as the whole story telling us the how and why of it all.
