A worthy, well-written debut by Alex Michaelides. It's seldom I react to pre-release hype or pick-up thrillers, but in this case, it worked for me.

The words flow effortlessly, holding my attention throughout. There is a lot more I could say about this novel, but it's better to read it yourself and let the narrative do the talking. it's best to jump in blind and enjoy the ride because once you begin, The Silent Patient will pull you in and not let you go until the last words have been read.

It may only be February, but I'll predict this will be one of my favourites reads for 2019.
