The last thing in the world Alex wanted was an X5, the latest in realisticandroids. But after Ada is dropped into his life, he discovers she is more thanjust a robot. Alex takes a huge risk to unlock Ada so she can think for herselfand explore life as a sentient android. As Alex and Ada spend more timetogether, they become closer. But as restrictions tighten on artificialintelligence, Ada feels unsure about her place in the world, and Alex questionsbeing with an android. In this final arc, Alex and Ada struggle against thegrowing hatred for sentient robots and their human allies. Can they survivewhat’s around the corner?
Quite dramatic and emotional ending to the Alex + Ada comic series. The quality of writing and art style are consistent throughout the series, and I felt like the final volume wrapped things up quite nicely. Ultimately I wish the plot had a bit more complexity, but I was invested in the characters enough not to mind the linearity.
