I agree with other reviews that that set up is outlandish, but...I'm okay with that. It's clear to me from the blurb, and most thrillers and horror are anyways. And this is very much akin to I Know What You Did Last Summer. But not as gory or sexy.
I really enjoyed it TBH. It's rare I'm the odd one out on higher ratings--what a lovely change!
I read this book in one sitting at work. I did pick up on hints earlier in the book, but didn't guess the whole enchilada. It did keep me hooked & guessing.
I do appreciate the gayness. Maybe convenient for added layers and relationships, but it didn't feel like that was just being used or the characters toyed with. They weren't labeled but they weren't straight and it was well done.
Excellent way to spend my Monday.
