Running on Diesel (The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor 9) ... 5 Maple Leafs
A fun and emotional journey about opening up and finding where you belong.
"It's you, baby. You make everything better, and you make me want to be part of something bigger. Something special."
Diesel is in love with the open road and never stays in one place for long. Tracey is still trying to pull her life back up after leaving an abusive relationship. Diesel has been captivated by Tracey since the day he saw her and feels protective over her. After years of tension between them, they finally give in to each other and begin their journey to healing.
The Whiskeys are the fiercest and most loyal group you will ever meet. I have been waiting for Diesel's book since we first met him and it did not disappoint. Diesel and Tracey have had so much tension between them that when they came together it was burning hot. I loved how Tracey was able to get grumpy Diesel to open up and show his softer side. I can not wait for more of the Whiskey family.
Audio ... Jacob Morgan and Savannah Peachwood did an amazing job at bringing Diesel, Tracey, and their story to life. They both gave the book a totally different feel and perspective than I experienced while reading the book.
Genre/Trope ... Small Town Romance, MC Romance, Opposites Attract, Workplace Romance
POV ... Dual Third-Person

An emotional roller coaster of finding the place you feel safe and belong.
"You destroy me, baby girl."
"I don't want to destroy you," she said softly. "I want to make you whole."
Diesel has always been one for the open road, never staying in one place very long. When Tracey walks into Whiskey Bro’s, he is struck by her and feels an overwhelming need to protect her. After years of fighting his attraction, he finally gives in to temptation and begins to open up to her. His only fear is that his need to always be on the move will pull him away.
Tracey is finally starting to come into her own after a bad relationship. Working at Whiskey Bro’s has given her more confidence but the growly bartender just keeps getting under her skin. When Diesel saves her and finally starts to show his true side, she becomes determined to be the one he can trust with everything.
Another wonderful addition to the Whiskey family. I have been waiting for Diesel and Tracey for a while and was not disappointed. The tension that has building between them was so thick you knew once they gave in, it would burn the pages. Tracey is perfect for Diesel and it was great to see the growth in their relationship. There is a huge twist that was totally unexpected and caught me by surprise. I loved catching up with the rest of the Whiskeys and meeting new ones. I can not wait for more from this world and highly recommend them all as you can not go wrong with this fiercely loving and loyal family.
