This volume was so enjoyable I stayed up to 3:00am to finish it. The plot/story format gave so much room for marvelous character development, something I felt was lacking in earlier volumes. And, let's be honest her, I'm very biased when it comes to this: the two wlw characters finally had their own little side story and it. was. fantastic. Everything was so sweet and so real, and character interactions on the whole felt much more genuine rather than shallow.
In volumes one and two, things happened, scary stuff went down, characters went "Ahh!", and then smiled the next panel as they overcame the situation with no real problems. And finally, finally we have here real troubles the characters face and react to. Their fear doesn't go away in the next panel. Emotions build and build until it needs to be released in a realistic way! Characters rely on their friends/girlfriends (wiggles eyebrows) for support, because they need to.
All in all, I'm now really looking forward to reading more instead of feeling indifferent.
