Let's start by saying that if you've not read the other books in the series, you should probably go do that first. I wouldn't say it's essential but there's a lot of crossover and understanding those events will make reading this novel so much richer.

We first meet Enzo and Allegra in Morally Corrupt and, to be frank, I hated her and didn't think much more of him. As we saw more of them in Morally Blasphemous I warmed a little to Enzo and could at least understand his side of their relationship. Morally Decadent blew all those thoughts out of the water.

Without dropping spoilers, this is the story of how Enzo and Allegra met and how she ended up the way we see her in the first two books. The first part is a romance, the middle shows her descent into madness and the final part is just insane in the best possible way. As I've come to expect from VL, the characters are perfectly crafted with depth and intricacy. I couldn't put this one down.
