I started off with the audiobook, and when the library took it back and I couldn’t immediately renew my loan, I switched to the Edith Grossman ebook, and when the strain of so many digital pages got to my eyes, I switched to the J.M. Cohen translation I have in a battered Penguin Classic paperback, and when that text got too tiny, I switched back to Edith, and then back to the Penguin, and so on and so forth.

In all forms it was excellent, is what I’m saying. So clever. So funny. So tragic. So meta. Fanfic at its best.
