Loving Mindy was a super cute, quick, holiday novella. It's all about Mindy who is the sister of Jane and Cam (whom we've met previously) and Josh who is a friend and coworker of Chris. The two grew up together, and were the best of friends until high school. Josh had confessed his feelings to Mindy, but then she started dating someone else, and they wound up married. Now, Mindy is divorced, and her ex decided to get married over the holiday and whisked their sons away to Hawaii, leaving her all alone. That is until Josh's car breaks down near her house, and then they get snowed in while waiting for the tow truck.
I love stranded together romances! Loving Mindy actually has a double dose of that, since first Josh was just waiting for a tow that never came. And then the storm worsened and they got snowed in. Of course, being in such close proximity forced them to face their feelings from the past, and brought them even closer together. There's also plenty of holiday cheer crammed into these few pages. It does start out a bit sad, since Mindy thought she was going to be alone at Christmas. But soon she's decorating cookies and listening to Christmas tunes with the one who got away. Perfect.
