I cannot wait to see the third and fourth ones to come later. Very cute and fun. Of course funny. I like this one better than the first. Also love the mentions back to the first one, fun to spot if you've read both. Yet at the same time you could read this one alone. Take a stressful situation and make it fun and different. Seems to be young Amelia Bedelia's talent.

I love the format of this jacket-less hardcover book. They feel so good in hand and seem to be a high quality that will last a long time. So far I've seen similar format for both Amelia Bedelia chapter books as well as Fancy Nancy, Nancy Clancy chapter books, and Charlotte's Web (2012 Anniversary ed). I've only seen the listing called hardcover, but I wish I knew if there were something special to call it, because I'd love to line my shelves with more books formatted like this. I'm delighted to have chapter books for very beginning readers like this, and if they had a jacket it would be too difficult to hold and manage for the youngest readers. I even know adults who dislike holding a jacketed hardcover due to it's misbehavior, so this beautiful format is awesome and highly recommended.
