The blurb is quite disturbing in an intriguing way and the opening of the book is the same. It's the early hours of the morning and Rose Denton is in her car, everything is where it should be except, there's blood on the windscreen. Rose has no idea where she is, how she got there or, more importantly, who's blood is on her windscreen.
Rose's life is falling apart around her. Her and her husband are going through the motions but it's obvious that there's nothing between them anymore. She often fights with her daughter Olivia especially about her boyfriend Tyler and then there's Jason.
This is the first book I have read by Kerry and he does an excellent job of building the suspense and mystery. By the end of the book poor Rose is losing her mind. She suspects nearly everyone in her life is playing a trick on her and she has no idea who to trust. In all honesty nor did I. Nothing seemed to make sense and that was the point. When it came to the big reveal I was shocked. I didn't see it coming but it was oh so good.
I thoroughly enjoyed this twisty turny ride that Kerry took me on. I have a few of Kerry's books on my TBR pile and I am looking forward to another one in the near future.
