Sheri's Thoughts

Dragons, men who find themselves liking men for the first time, and a loyalty to family make for a quick and entertaining tale. I found myself rooting for Ziethman, who’s seen as a bit of a troublemaker and someone who can’t be trusted with important tasks. Ross on the other hand is a very responsible, very on task human, even going so far as traveling outside his comfort zone to keep his sister from a forced marriage.

I’ll admit that this one wasn’t as good as the others in the series for me. They’re all short, but this one felt like the relationship was way more rushed than it needed to be. The others seemed to focus on the relationship between the dragon and their human mates. This one seemed to focus on Ziethman and his struggles to prove his worth to his brethren.

I enjoyed the dragon fights and the confrontations with humans, but I really wished for more of the romance between Ross and his dragon. I will look forward to more in the series, and hope that they return to the previous romance I’ve come to expect from this series.
