Hmm. The third and final book in the Dragon Hoard trilogy fails to include the best parts of the first two books - the family dynamics. The easy loving banter between the siblings and their mates was absent and it fell flat because of it. I didn't like Oliver or Devon much at all in this and Brand and Eagan are basically non-entities. I mean the first two books there was a lot of miscommunication but the final book takes it to a new level with not only a lack of communication between Tyson and Myk but also between everyone else.
Ty's retreat into his workshop was also ridiculous. The first two books he whinged about wanting a mate and then he gets one and proceeds to ignore him. It was dumb and it irritated me. As far as the whole "prophecy" mystery they're all morons. It was slightly funny and also absolutely ridiculous. Especially because why the hell were Oliver and Devon keeping it a secret from Mykel to start with?
The only redeeming part were the kids. The kids were hilarious. Arielle and Nevedah were cute. And the animals. The dogs just showing up. They were the best parts. I really wanted this to end on a strong note but it was a bit of a miss unfortunately. That said it wasn't all bad, just somewhat senseless. 2.5 stars, rounded up to 3.
