I really wanted to like this book. After a slow start, I hoped to become more invested in the plot and the protagonists. However, there are elements of the plot that just turned my stomach. I read the whole book because I hoped my overall perception of the book would change rather than take the easy way out and admit to a Do Not Finish. Sadly it didn't work out for me.
