I've heard so many great things about this book and I was determined to read it before the end of 2015. So, in I dove. I have to say that the first 1/3 to 1/2 was pretty strong. I appreciated the slow build up of the relationship between Harper and Trent especially considering Harper's past.
About 1/2 way through, it began to slow down a bit and drag here and there. I was still interested as the suspense portion of the plot kicked in harder and that kept me reading. (Although, I'll admit that there are still aspects of that plot that I'm still wondering about.) Trent was supposed to be 32, but sometimes his inner monologue didn't feel that mature to me. But- I really did like him, he was so sweet to Harper. :)
I enjoyed meeting the different members of Second Circle Tattoo and I can definitely say that I'm looking forward to whatever Ms. Cole has in store for Cujo and Drea.
