Catch My Breath was super cute! I'm a total sucker for reality TV plots, and this one is made even better because it's about boybands! Well, there's a girl band, and other musicians, but it follows Danny and Elliot's group primarily. Danny is auditioning for what he thinks is a solo gig, and it was at first. But then they decide a boyband would be even better! Elliot auditions at the encouragement of a friend, and he's exactly what the industry is looking for. Neither guy is expecting to find love when they sign on.

I had a huge smile plastered on my face from the very beginning, because Danny and Elliot's interactions are so freaking adorable! Fans of the show pretty quickly pick up on their bromance, and then start assuming that they are in a real relationship. But the heartthrobs have to hide their feelings, because their record label wants to promote the dream of them being straight and single for their female fans. This was the main source of drama. It was believable, but frustrating! I want my boys to be happy!

The one thing that kept me from loving Catch My Breath was that it felt really long. Not that it took me a long time to read, but everything is so dragged out. There's a very long timeline as we see the band go from each member getting discovered and the band actually forming. We see the entire run of the TV show and the aftermath. The band releases two albums! Danny and Elliot are sneaking around for the majority of it, before finally standing up to their manager. It was kind of fun to see the entire music process, but I was here for the cute romance which took way too long to reach its happy ending.
