I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

A Cowboy for Christmas was a short and steamy Christmas romance. Reading it one sitting proved an effortless task.

Sarah, an executive assistant for an accounting firm as recently, had her world ripped apart. She discovered in the most humiliating manner that she had been dating a married man. Then, to add insult to injury, he fired her.To get over the sting of the humiliation, went to spend the Christmas holidays with her brother in Colorado. While there she met Jesse, a former navy seal turned Cowboy.

This story provided a nice and short escape from reality. Seeing as this was a novella, I had to suspend belief regarding the pace at which the romance developed. Especially seeing that she recently came out of a toxic relationship. That being said Jesse and Sarah had chemistry in spades.

The characters were sufficiently developed, which allowed me to relate to them as individuals.

The story had some light-hearted and dramatic moments which spiced things up. I wished the story had been longer as I believe there were events which, if allowed for further development, would have made for an even more exciting read. Nevertheless, the author did a good job of keeping the reader entertained.

Conclusion/Recommendation

Overall, I had fun with this book and would read more from this author.
